The fish-off was tough. The weather and a crowded boat ramp on Saturday left nerves pretty frazzled.

Congratulations to Gary and Doug Skeens. They won first place with 4.75 lbs. Second place was won by Stan Winfrey and Jim Delaney with 3.93 lbs. Third place was won by Mike Collins with 3.37 lbs.  Mike Collins won big bass Saturday with his 3.37 lb. bass. Big bass Sunday was won by Doug Skeens with 2.81 lbs.

Don't forget our bonus tournament Saturday October 23 at Stockton Lake. We will take off from Stockton State Park at 7:00 A.M.  Send checks to our Tournament Director Bob Cowan.  You can pay at the ramp for an extra $5.  See you then.

The fee for the fish-off is $40. That includes both days. Please send your entry fees to Bob Cowan as soon as possible. Include your partners name if you plan to fish with someone. There will be no paying at the ramp. All entry fees must be received prior to the fish-off. Preferably a week before.
 
The October bonus tournament is Saturday October 23, 2004 at Stockton Lake. Take off will be at 7:00 A.M. at Stockton State Park.
 
Hope to see you at Bucksaw September 18 & 19 for the Athel Ransom Memorial Classic. Take off is 5:30 both days. It will be dark but there are two other tournaments out of  Bucksaw so we need to be in the water early.

The club would like to congratulate Clay Palmer for finishing in the top 25 of the Amateur Division of the 2004 CITGO Bassmaster Pro Tour at Table Rock Lake.

 

Clay finished the tournament tied for 22nd place in the amateur division.  He caught three bass for a total weight of 6 lbs and 12 oz.  Clay caught his fish off rocky points in 5-7 feet of water using a Wiggle Wart crank bait.

 

The first day, Clay fished with Pro Jarrett Edwards from Del Norte, Colorado.  Clay helped land Jarrett’s 6 lb 10 oz bass, which won Big Bass for day one of the competition.  Jarrett finished the tournament in 30th place.

 

The second day, Clay fished with Pro Jordan Paullo from Coventry, Connecticut.  Jordan finished the tournament in 31st place.

Entry fees for tournaments are $40 per boat. Checks should be made payable to Bob Cowan.  Please send your entry fees to Bob Cowan at least one week prior to the tournament.  Tournament entry fees, plus a $5 late fee, can also be paid in cash at the ramp the day of the tournament. This is Bob's second year as Tournament Director. The club would like to thank him for all the time he has spent scheduling our tournaments and making sure our tournaments run smoothly.
