Factory Five Racing Annual Open
House - June 12, 2004
This was the coolest paint I've ever seen. At least half of the cars there had novelty liscense plates. This car had the same engine, intake manifold plate, valve covers, and oil filter cap as mine. This is actually a fuel-injected stack intake (see the fuel rail). Noting the radio position. This is the most common place to put it. Speakers between the seats Here the dash was extended/refabricated downward so that the radio face could poke out of it. I think this is the soft top that FFR used to offer as an option. There were a bunch of cars with this same supercharger. This is my ideal color of blue. Why put two speakers back there when you can fit four This car belongs to Knight on the ffcobra forum. Another soft top idea, with a very elaborate joint mechanism to raise and lower it.
It wasn't just purple; it changed between purple, green, blue, and probably a few other colors depending on what angle you you looked at it from. It looked like it was about an inch deep. That's the dyno tent, by the way. I guess that made it worthy of a picture, besides the fact that it kicks ass. It looked great; I would never have thought it was fuel injected at a first glance. Looks good, but I don't think it's doable for me. It looked a little shallow compared to some of the other 5-grand paint jobs at the show, but this is exactly what I want the final product to look like. His soft top is pretty unique; it's got around four strips of bendy material running parallel to the length of the car, and they form a nice bubble around the cockpit. Looks a little odd at first, but very aero-dynamic looking and probably one of the best tops out there. I think he's the only one with one now, but he might start producing them for sale. This looked real good; it had a nice, classic-looking shape when up, and folded down to a surprisingly small fold-up box sitting in front of the roll bar. When collapsed, its profile measured only about 6x6 inches
