Death

Biography

The concept of death is a subject that I really am not comfortable talking about. Like many people I fear death. However I am a sucker for the cosmic entities that inhabit our universe, so I was kind of excited to research Death, the personification of death. She came into being at the same time as her.. um.. siblings I suppose you can call them; Eternity, Infinity, and Oblivion. Death has this bone-chilling ability to release one's soul from their body and send it along to their final destination, which in many cases is to their god of devout worship. She can also bring those souls back, unless they are claimed by another, like one of those gods. Death almost never speaks, usually sending servants to speak for her. This little trait of hers tends to annoy a certain someone who has been obsessed with her nearly his whole life; Thanos. Thanos has tried to take over/wipe out the entire universe just to win Death's affection. He once used the Cosmic Cube but was defeated by Captain Marvel, Drax the Destroyer and the Avengers, thus he was scorned by Death. Thanos was later resurrected by Death because she sensed an imbalance growing in the universe. This gradual shift towards life and away from death needed to be stopped so she asked Thanos to kill half of the universe. He gathered the Infinity Gems and formed the Infinity Gauntlet to accomplish his task. Turns out that he ended up surpassing Death in power and thus was still unable to be with her. Oh the irony! Thanos of course went nuts and kept on destroying, causing Death to turn on him. Thanos isn't the only one who has been in Death's presence. Death once chose the Silver Surfer to be her consort, but he refused. Death had also chosen to be with a god from another galaxy named the Walker, but then turned from him when he took the lives of everyone in his galaxy for her. He was outraged obviously, but Thanos stuck up for Death and helped hide her from Walker. Death did end up removing all of the souls that walker took from inside of him, causing him an eternity of agony. Lesson here? Do not cross Death! Death and Thanos were closer now, and somehow their energies formed a new and horrible being called Rot. They pair up to defeat him and Death finally admits to having feelings for Thanos. Thanos joins with some others to try and stop the Annihilation Wave and ends up being killed by Drax the Destroyer, but this let him finally be with Death so I don't think he minded too much. But then Lord Mar-Vell from another universe known as the Cancerverse came over and was able to destroy Death's body, pretty much removing her from his universe. Thanos is brought back from the dead and offers himself as a sacrifice so that Lord Mar-Vell and the others from his universe can invade our universe, but this was a trap set by Death to get close enough to Lord Mar-Vell to kill him and the entire Cancerverse. Like I said, do not cross Death!

History with Deadpool

Ahh, Death. She first appeared to me when I was in the Hospice, and might I add she appeared to be smoking hot, too! She said she doesn't normally talk to mortals because we mortals usually can't see her, but I am special! She would help me escape my body while it was being tortured and we has some wonderful times together. All I had to do was die and I could be with her, but my healing factor kicked in once my heart was removed. She turned her back on me then, and I won't lie to you, it hurt. I really did want to die and be with her. I saw her again when Ajax sucker punched me and knocked me off of a cliff. But again I could not be with her. She just wanted to tell me about all these ghosts from the Weapon X program who were stuck here on Earth wanting vengeance. I killed Ajax but it didn't help them. When I finally died and thought I was going to be with her, something brought me back. I know T-Ray brought me back from the dead, but rumor has it that Thanos actually gave T-Ray that power as well as cursed me with eternal life so that I could never be with Death. Since then I have had a few visions and dreams with Death, and I do plan on one day finding a way to die and be with her.

Powers and Abilities

Gee, this is tough. Death has the power of death. What a concept! She is a cosmic entity so she pretty much can do whatever she wants. She really has no body but can make herself seen when she wants, usually as a skeletal body but sometimes as a beautiful woman, or some weird combination of both.

Come on, Al. I thought you would have more info on Death than that. I mean you are so much closer to her than the rest of us! Heh heh.
