... about me

I am a retired Spokane science teacher, having taught for 35 years at Salk Junior High School (2), Joel E. Ferris High School (2), Spokane Community College (1) and Spokane Falls Community College (30). My specialties were General Biology and Human Anatomy & Physiology. Although retired now over 8 years I continue to do part time registration advising at Spokane Falls Community College. I was born in Tacoma, Washington in 1931, came to Spokane in 1937, where I attended Holmes Grade School, Havermale Junior High School and North Central High School (1950). I graduated from Reed College in Portland, Oregon in 1955 with a B.A. in Science; attended the University of Washington Medical School for 3 years; got a B.Ed. (1961) and M.Ed. (1963) from Whitworth College, Spokane, Washington; and received a M.S. in Biology from the University of Oregon (1966).

... my family

I have been married to Gretchen (Reim) Anderberg for almost 39 years. Gretchen is a nurse and nurse educator, presently teaching Obstetrical Nursing at the Intercollegiate College of Nursing in Spokane. We have four children, Robert Anderberg, Susan McComas, Carole Amsbury and David Anderberg. Presently we have 3 lovely grandchildren.

... my work

Although retired as a science teacher I continue to have an interest in young people and serve as a part time advisor in registration at Spokane Falls Community College. I serve as the secretary of the Church Council at Gethsemane Lutheran Church; also serving to assist the church and it's school in the many facets of computer utilization.

... my interests

I have always enjoyed baseball (Mariners), basketball (Sonics Washington State & Gonzaga), and football (Seahawks & Washington State). However, my interests shift with the many projects I do utilizing photography, music, art and other media to create CDs and DVDs. Presently my main project is working on the conversion of reel-to-reel tapes recorded by my father in the 1940s and 1950s of Spokane concerts and other events to CDs and gathering as much historical support as I can for each CD published.

... my likes

I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren wherever they are, whether at our lake house at Spirit Lake, Idaho, our home in Spokane, or whenever we can get together. I also enjoy learning about and sharing God's Word and His Creations—and the blessing that He sent His Son to be our saviour. I have collected many Creation DVDs which I hope to share through individual or large group presentations.

... my dislikes

The subject of evolution as being taught as though it were the truth in our schools and in the media. Scientific data does not support evolutionary thought, but does support the historical episodes in the bible.
