Mernyk Design was founded in 1999 by Paul
Mernyk. Bringing together both technical and artistic backgrounds,
Mernyk Design has helped over a dozen companies enhance the user
experience for customers of their software and web sites.
Prior to founding Mernyk Design, Paul Mernyk
had worked for 18 years as a software development engineer, designing
and developing desktop products, including the Pagis Pro scanning
suite, Harvard Graphics, Dashboard, HP NewWave, and Graphics Gallery.
At the same time, he had worked professionally
as a graphic designer and illustrator, and had done much of the
artwork and layout for the software products he had helped to
develop. Other accomplishments include a published library of
electronic clip-art, an animated short cartoon shown at the Palo
Alto Film Festival, and solo exhibits of figure drawings.
