- Designed and implemented various feature additions and
improvements in Pagis Pro 3.0, a color scanning suite for Windows.
- Features included Search-Hit Highlighting in the Image
Editor, Forms Fill-In, Wrapping and Unwrapping of e-mailable image
viewer, enhancements to Exe Drop Handlers for e-mail products.
Designed HTML-based alternative UI for Pagis Pro. Product shipped
in May 1999.

Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead
- Led a team of 2 to 4 engineers, developing the Image Editor component
of Pagis Pro, a color scanning suite for Windows, versions
"97" and 2.0.
- Primary inventor on patent for use of pop-up thumbnails in file folders.
- Responsible for feature spec, user interface
design, internal design and architecture, and coded roughly
35% of the product.
- Prior to Pagis Pro, led the user interface
design and development for several inter-related MS Windows imaging
products. Owned user interface issues for image viewers on multiple
platforms (Windows, Mac, Solaris).

of Harvard Graphics for Windows.

Developed software for graphics applications and GUI's, including:
- Dashboard for
Windows (1991-1993) One of three principal designers
and developers of award-winning HP Dashboard 1.0 for MS Windows. Also designed
several features and UI for version 2.0. Used my visual designs
to drive prototypes and product design efforts. Earned 3 patents
with co-inventor credit.
- HP NewWave
(1987-1991) Developed various components for HP NewWave,
an object-oriented desktop environment for MS Windows.
Served on committee to define user-interface standards
for NewWave environment and applications.
- HP Drawing
Gallery (1983-1986) One of five original designers
and developers of Drawing Gallery presentation graphics software
for IBM PC and HP150 TouchScreen PC. Oversaw usability testing. Judged best business graphics
package by PC Magazine in 1986.
- Graphical User
Interface (1984-1985) Served on committee to define
user-interface standards across Hewlett-Packard PC software,
representing the needs of graphics applications.
- Graphics Firmware
(1981-1983) Developed firmware for 2627A color graphics terminal.
Defined and implemented protocol for color selection, dithering,
tablet and printer communication.

Held two solo exhibits at café in San Francisco, CA. Figure
drawings in pastel and charcoal.
Electronic clip-art
collection for Hewlett-Packard Co. 1985
Designed over 120 pictures. Digitized them for HP Drawing Gallery,
a graphics software product for MS-DOS. Sold to Hewlett-Packard,
published as the "Special Edition Picture Library." Later included
in the "Office Activities Portfolio."
Palo Alto Film
Festival Honorarium. 1984
Won honorarium and appearance in the festival with "Pick Me
a Winner," a 1-minute, hand-animated cartoon. Also composed and
recorded its original piano music track. Produced at De Anza College,
Cupertino, CA.
