Silver Dream Arabians "Silver Dream's Legacy"

It is with great sadness that the Boone family inform people of the passing of PR Silver Dream. She was 24 years old. Dream suffered a mild stroke, fell and broke her leg. She was humanely put down and was buried in a place of honor on our farm. Dream, as she was affectionately called, was the mare of a lifetime. She was the youngest daughter of the immortal *Silver Vanity. *Silver Vanity was 2 time supreme champion in England prior to his importation by Bazy Tankersley and Charles Prange. *Silver Vanity's influence was worldwide. Dream was bred by Susan Stockwell and owned and cherished at different times of her life by Stephanie White, Susan Felker, and the last 5 years of her life by Merrie Boone and her family.

Dream produced a total of 8 foals. Nothing made Dream happier than when she had a foal on her side. She was such a good mother to her foals and was so very proud of them. Her production record was remarkable as she had a total of 6 colts, 5 of which are breeding stallions. Her orphaned youngest colt, SDA Silver Bayonet, is 12 weeks old, as of this writing, and he too was purchased as a stallion prospect by well known breeder Melanie Johnson of Payback Ranch.. Dream is the dam of SDA Silver Legend, 2004 Scottsdale Reserve Champion Sporthorse stallion. He is owned by Bazy Tankersley of Al-Marah Arabians. Her daughter PR Anastasia is a multiple champion in Western and English Pleasure. Her colts, AXXIOM, BR Gold Sovereign, BR Silver Majesty, and SDA Silver Sultan have gone straight to the breeding shed. Our family is so very blessed to have Dream's look alike daughter BR Silveressence to continue in our breeding program.

Dream was 99.57 % Crabbet. She reminded me with her gentle kind nature why my family and I love the Crabbet Arabian. Her legacy continues through her children and grandchildren. Our family is dedicated to preserving the nearly pure and pure Crabbet Arabian such that these bloodlines are not lost forever. This too is Dream's legacy.

I just thank God the all mighty, for letting us be able to enjoy Dream these last years of her life. I know her spirit lives on at our farm. We miss her greatly, but I am comforted to know that somewhere above Dream is taking care of the foals in heaven.
