System Requirements
MesaDX Version 0.04 was developed using Visual C++ .NET under the Windows XP
operating system. The development system was a 1.7GHz Pentium 4-m with
512MBytes of RAM. MesaDX Version 0.04 has been tested extensively on this
system, and uses less than 50% of the CPU time during emulation.
MesaDX Version 0.04 has not been tested on systems with older processors (such
as Pentium II and Pentium III systems), though it is expected that a processor
at least as fast as a Pentium II 300MHz is required for reasonable performance.
MesaDX is designed to operate correctly on any system meeting the following
requirements:
- Windows 98 (or later) operating system
- DirectX 5.0 (or later)
- Updated DLLs: mfc70.dll and msvcr70.dll (see below)
Because MesaDX Version 0.04 was developed with a recent version of Visual C++
it requires some updated DLLs that are not available on all Windows platforms.
