Welcome to my gallerias.

Most pictures were drawn, either fully or in part, while listening to music. The musical genres were as varied as the emotions they elicited, but these truths hold for the music, the passions which were aroused, and the resulting pictures. To be human is to be privy to the most amazingly beautiful sensations God created; to be human is also to be subject to the greatest wrongs, the deepest sadness, and the most excruciating pain that God ever allowed us to inflict upon each other.

From the tragic love of Puccini’s ‘Madame Butterfly’, to the poignancy of ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’, from the physical pain of Johnny Cash’s ‘Hurt’ to the soulful redemption in ‘Amazing Grace’, from the piercing plea in Sarah Vaughan’s ‘Motherless Child’ to the soothing strains of Billie Holiday’s ‘Summertime’, music has served us as the expression of those magnificent sensations, those terrible wrongs and searing sadness, that blinding pain. As an artist, music has often served as my portal to the visual expression of those emotions. As you visit my gallerias, I hope you experience some semblance of joy, passion, sympathy, or empathy.
