Sunflower Cabins are located 9.8 miles North of Coffee Creek near the headwaters of the Trinity River. We are at an elevation of 3500 feet and open year around. Trinity Lake is only 10.5 miles away.
Each season is unique and brings with it an abundance of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. From the magnificent colors of Autumn, to the beautiful flowers of Spring. Enjoy cross country skiing and snow boarding during the winter months, and long, lazy days on the Trinity River in the Summer.
Little Trinity Cabin
Our cabins are surrounded by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, with breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains. Our 15 acre park-like setting offers rolling lawns, flower gardens, an orchard, and a pond for your enjoyment. There are also several swimming holes on the Trinity River within walking distance.
We offer you a peaceful, quiet location in a secluded area. We invite you to come and let Sunflower Cabins be your home away from home.
Tangle Blue Cabin
We have two cabins available at this time. Each cabin comes equipped with a full bath, kitchen, 1-2 bedrooms, and dining area. Both cabins have an electric refrigerator and coffee maker powered by hyro-electricity. A gas range for cooking and an outdoor BBQ too.
We also have a picnic table for outdoor dining. There is a country store and cafe in nearby Coffee Creek.
You will not find a telephone or TV in the Cabins, just peace and quiet. A two-way radio connects you with your hosts who live nearby. They have a high tech radio-telephone for Emergency use. Smoking is not permitted inside the Cabins.
Our Cabins are not wheelchair or handicapped accessible due to the vintage of these buildings.
Your animals are welcome, provided they are well mannered. We do require that they be kept on a leash when outdoors due to our resident deer population. Animals must be supervised at all times and may not be left unattended in cabins. We do require a $10 per day or $30 per week fee when your animals accompany you.
Our retreat is surrounded by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. There are many trailheads available for backpacking and fishing in Apine Lake Settings. Just 9.8 miles South of us in Coffee Creek is the local Forest Service Station where maps and permits can be purchased.
We are also located 10.5 miles from Trinity Lake, California's second largest reservoir. Trinity Lake offers 26 miles of scenic, undeveloped shoreline beneath a backdrop of the snowy Trinity Alps.
Famous for its record size Small and Large Mouth Bass, Kokanee Salmon, Trout and Catfish, Trinity Lake is a fisherman's paradise.
There are several marinas for your boating, water skiing, Jet skiing, and Houseboating enjoyment.
