Unreleased Atari arcade games

This page is about Atari arcade games that never made it into full release. It all started back in 1994 when I asked about Marble Madness II in rec.games.video.arcade.collecting. People were very helpful with responses! I've always thought these unadvertised, unannounced games had a sort of mystique about them so I've sought to learn more about them.

Pages that have helped...

Last update: Dec 16 2000
Updated Akka Arrh since Mike got more concrete information about it. And, continued the Game of the Week, though actually it's not a game. It's the McDonald's hardware Kid's Counter! Also updated 4x4 to show that it's a pinball game, also known as E.T. The weekend seems like a good time to update from now on by the way... =)

Previous updates...

Re-formatted the page. I hope it's easier to peruse now! I also added pages for Beat Head, Qwak (earlier version), Road Runner, and Bradley Trainer. Thanks to Mike Albaugh, I have more information for ET, Solar War, Boxing, and Qwak! Cool! I also added a picture of the sideart for Arcade Classics, marquee and pictures for MM2, and marquee for Vicious Circle and Primal Rage 2, mostly from Scott's Arcade Stuff. Added pictures for Cloud9 from MAME as well.

Mike's Game of the Week
Mike Albaugh has graciously offered to help with information on these games... Since this is an overwhelming task (hey, Atari was no rinky-dink operation) I thought the best way to do this is to feature a game a week:

1970s

1980s

1990s

Here are some early names of well known Atari arcade games. Actual games with these names on the title screen may or may not exist.
