From Lando:
I did play it [at California Extreme 2000] and was not impressed, it was
pretty much Transformers meets
MK and seemed unfinished. The characters were pertty generic and rather
bland looking. The backgrounds weren't to bad (at least the ones I saw) but
gameplay sucked. I couldn't seem to get any hits in, this from a guy who has
beaten Last Blade 1 and 2 on single credits, and the controls seemed very
sluggish. The fact that it didn't tell you how to pull off power moves didn't
help. Overall it needs some heavy tweaking to be a great game but I may have
just gotton a first bat impression.

(Re: BMX Heat)
I recently learned the name of another unreleased
game. I'll go look it up. It was from the Primal Rage era I
think.
Interestingly I was around when Strider was testing at
Alladin's Castle at Oakridge in San Jose. That was
cool. There was a Capcom guy there with a clipboard,
noting length of game, level achieved, notes,
comments made by players (I think) and so on. He was
really cool and Strider blew me away there. It was also
on a really large screen. I'll try to get that other Atari
game's name. There was another too, but I will never
remember it now. Someone I know has a game with
this never-released game's marquee on it instead of
what's actually in it, and it's an unreleased Atari game.
Shoot, if only I could remember.
...
Ah, I remembered- it was called "Cyberstorm" and
apparently there were some playtest machines made.
Don't know if they got playtesting outside of the Atari
offices, but for what it's worth. It was a fighter
basically, no year known, and no more info on it.
The other game escapes me still. I think it was from
pre-86 though.
