From its inception in 1983, the philosophy of the SP Cultural Arts Commission has been to bring the very best in art and culture to the residents of South Plainfield, as well as the surrounding communities. The Commission's goal is to foster local talent, and to act as artistic consultants to the administrative branch of the Borough of South Plainfield. The Commission has been instrumental in sponsoring cultural programs in the areas of: DANCE DRAMA THEATRE MUSIC VISUAL ARTS Some of these include classical concerts, holiday shows, celebration of black history, Spring into Dance, Children's Cultural Programs, Bringing the Arts to the Elementary and Middle Schools, and many, many other events. We are over now 20 years strong and looking forward to providing the best in cultural events for South Plainfield in the many years to come!
