Currently, we have 4 pieces of apparatus in service. Below
is a picture and brief description of each of them.
Engine 22 is a 1994 HME/4
Guys Custom Pumper. It carries 1,250 gallons of water, and
has a
1500 GPM Hale pump. It can carry up
to 8 firefighters, including the driver. It also
carries 1,100
feet of 5" LDH hose in the rear hose
bed. It has (2) 200 foot, 1 3/4 inch crosslays behind the
cab,
and (2) 300 foot, 1 3/4 inch pre-connects
in the rear hosebed. We also have a 300 foot, 2 1/2 inch
playpipe
preconnect in the rear hosebed.
Auxilliary power is supplied from a 11,000 watt Honda generator,
and is used
to power our (2) 750 watt rear telescoping
lights, and (2) 650 watt side telescoping lights, along with the
power
outlets on the truck. We also carry a
fully stocked medical bag for medical assists.
Engine 22 is our first-out piece of
apparatus.
Tanker 22 is a 1991 GMC Top Kick /4 Guys
custom elliptical tanker. It carries 1,800 gallons of water
and has a 400 GPM Grumman/Rupp
pump. It has (2) 150 foot, 1 3/4 inch crosslays
behind the cab,
and carries a Honda portable pump with 40
feet of 3 inch suction hose. We also carry 300 feet
of
3 inch hose, and a 3000 watt portable
generator and scene lighting.
Brush 22-1 is a 1990 Ford
F350 4WD with a Reading Utility Body. It carries 200
gallons of water and has a
500 GPM Darley pto pump. It has a
200 foot booster reel, (2) 150 foot, 1 1/2 inch crosslays behind
the cab,
and a 200 foot pre-connect in the bed for
Foam Application. It also carries an assortment of
rescue equipment, including a Holmatro DPU31 power unit, (2) 25 ft sections of CORE Technology hydraulic hose,
a 4050 NCT Cutter, a 3150UL Combi-tool, a Junk Yard Dog rescue strut system (4 struts), and various cribbing and other equipment.
We also have (2) 10
lb. Purple K extinguishers mounted to the rear bumper, and (2)
pressurized water extinguishers mounted in the bed.
This truck goes to Grandview Speedway every Saturday night from April
until October, and serves as infield fire protection for the race
teams.
We carry 10 gallons of AR/AFFF foam on the rear of the
truck, and an in-line eductor is pre-connected to the foam line
for quick deployment.
Brush 22 is a 2007 Ford F350 with a
300 GPM Hale pump, and a 200 gallon skid tank.
It has a 2 booster reels, 1 with 200 feet of 1" hose for initial attack, and 1 with 400' of 3/4" hose for mop up and wet down details. It carries
various brush equipment including rakes, shovels, and forestry brooms.
It also carries (4) Vest Tanks, and a Stihl 009 chain saw. This is our first out truck for brush and field fires.
