The Sunday edition of the London Mail recently featured this photo of a cat that had just leapt six feet in the air, attempting to catch this sea eagle, which was formerly having a pleasant day at the Okayama Nature Reserve in Japan. This picture reminds me of the squirrels - the nearsighted ones - who fervently believe God is smiling upon them and that the huge acorns rolling towards them can't possibly be a car's tires. This was scanned from a reprint in Fortean Times, a splendid little British monthly that devotes most of its space to wonderfully weird items like this. Although they also include articles on such dubious items as hauntings and UFO visits, they seem always to have tongue healthily in cheek as they relate the more questionable stories.
