Not brewing in
the summer because you have no place to ferment?
Always wanted
to try your hand at homebrewing, but didn't know where to start or where
to get equipment?
Well, then
head to Brewer's Apprentice, the tri-state's only BOP!
You can brew
the beer or wine of your choice with professional help and can also purchase
your homebrew equipment all in one place!
The experience
will make you see what you've been missing all these years!
The best part
about brewing at this location is that all the ingredients are right there
and there is no cleanup! That's right...whatever mess you make is joyfully
cleaned up by the crew!
Their list
of beers and wines is quite extensive...all styles and all types or, you
can even tweak a recipe to make whatever you like. Bottles, labels and
brewing all included in one price! You are even able to custom design your
own label for a minimum upcharge!
I have been
there several times and it is great! I made a Kona Coffee Stout and a Holiday
Ale...both outstanding! Gary Monterosso and myself brewed together one
day and I archived it on film:

First, you choose the recipe and gather the specialty
grains to grind and then gather the extracts you will need.

After gathering and weighing all the ingredients,
you add whatever needs to be added to the 15 gal of water to boil.

Remove whatever specialty grains there were and
add the extracts and hops to begin the boil. Now's the time to relax!

After all is done, the wort is cooled and racked
into a fermentation tank and the yeast added. And your done!

Your beer will ferment for two weeks...wine takes
longer....closely watched by the crew awaiting your return to bottle.
They will then filter your beer for you to bottle.
I can guarantee
that you will enjoy the experience and will want to return to replenish
your stock. You get approximately 72-22oz. bottles of beer. More than enough
to share with your friends. At BA, they also have a program whereby you
are able to swap several bottles of your brew for ones that people have
left. This allows you to try different styles and recipes without making
a whole batch!
Jo-Ellen,
Barbara and Penny are more than happy to accommodate whatever it is you
would like to try. They have gotten recipes submitted by many of the area's
best brewers for you to choose.
Don't let
this one pass you by! Give them a call today or visit their website
for more details and specials. Start your homebrewing experience soon!
