I have over thirty-five years of working for
and with talented people at high quality institutions, primarily in the arts, but
also with people in science and industry. I have a great deal of technical and
aesthetic knowledge combined with very good communication skills with all kinds
of people. Many of my jobs have been Project Manager level of skills. In my
life experience I have successfully constructed buildings, legal and financial
planning as head of the family and developed property. Earlier in my life I
pursued a career as a contemporary artist and have very good drawing, painting
skills, and show in very good institutions. I am now returning to my art with
new paintings/installations. Other interests include dog training, showing, and
breeding. I also have a great deal of knowledge about physical therapy and
training as well as very good nutritional cooking and gardening skills.
The last
thirteen years of work has been split between being dispatched through Local 16
to weekly jobs in the San Francisco international convention industry as IT,
Power Point editor/driver, Stage Manager, Speaker Ready Room, computer networking,
video patching and switching, video projection and audio. Beyond the technology
the interesting part of this job is paying attention and constantly learning
from the presenters about medicine, geophysical science, computer technology,
finance, investment, economics and much more. The flextime gave me the
opportunity to put this education to use in family planning to manage my
mother’s and aunt’s final phase with medical, legal and economic planning. I
also developed my mother’s Austin, TX house with a 1400sq.ft. rental addition
and then took my inheritance and am
developing a 25 acre property here in rural Northern California.
The eight
years of as a special effects model maker, my personal creative production and
different jobs dispatched through Local 16 have given me experience with all
levels of media from Internet technologies and design, video production, and
feature films of different kinds. As a special effects model maker gave me
resourceful knowledge of materials, creative team work, and storytelling.
During this time I was a direct witness and participant to the digital
revolution of the .com rise, fall, continued growth and worked with those that
made it and those that did not.
The
thirteen years in the Contemporary Fine Art profession, I gained a strong
knowledge of aesthetics, and culture as well as the issues of nonprofit
organizations. I have a strong knowledge of Art History specifically Modern Art
and Bay Area Art. In hindsight I have always worked for the best when they were
at their best and during very developmental periods.
Property Development and Management
2002-2009
Constructed 1400 sq. ft. addition and
renovated 1960 house in Austin Tx. creating a duplex. Developed twenty-five
acre ranch in Round Valley CA.
