With unbounded joy and deepest gratitude to Our Heavenly Father, we are thrilled to share our glorious news!
Chang Han Juan will soon become Kendal Lauren Davis. We have another Hunan girl!! She awaits us in the Chang De Social Welfare Center in the Hunan Province, People’s Republic of China.
Here is what her name means:
Chang (her
surname) is taken from the name of her Welfare Home
Han means Cherish
Juan means Beautiful
. . . and we have been cherishing this beautiful child for 16 months now!
She was born on May 22, 2002, so she is 13 months old right now. They measured her on March 10th (9 months) and she weighed 17.6 pounds and was 28.4 inches long.
We will be ever grateful to Kendal’s birthparents, for making an adoption plan that allowed her to become a part of our lives. And, we are thankful for all of you - our wonderful family and friends - who have journeyed with us in the adoption of our daughter. Your support has been invaluable, and we cherish you for it.

We anticipate that we will travel to China in late August or September to bring our darling daughter home. We can’t wait to hold her in our arms!
