Below are some of Carson's milestones and the wonderful memories we have had with him.  Click on the link to the left to view the photos.
Carson: 18 Months Old:  This month started with Carson's first poopy in the potty.  I think it was just perfectly timed, but he now has an interest and is amazed by "poopy in the potty".  Food is still on of his favorite things to do. He is now eating with a fork and a spoon more often although it is still a mess when he is finished.  Carson has also begun to show an interest in taking care of his puppy, Kobi.  Carson feeds Kobi every day and loves to play in his water dish (much to mom's dislike).  Two more teeth have cut through....a top left molar and the top left front tooth.  Now he has 5 in total.  Carson's independence is gaining strength too.  He likes to put on his own hats and is trying to figure out how to get socks on.  Unfortunately with independence also comes disciplining.  Carson understands the concept of a "time-out" so well,  that one day he put himself in a time out as he told mommy "no touch, sit down".   Our favorite word of the month is "watich" otherwise known as a sandwich.  On February 12th we went to see Barnum & Bailey's Circus.  Carson loved the clowns & the elephants.  He did great during the show and even took a little cat nap during intermission.

Carson: 19 Months Old:  "BUS!!! BUS!!! BUS!!!" and "TRUCK" are Carson's favorite things to search for and find while we are out and about.  He gets so excited and somehow can spot one miles away.  Sometimes Daddy and Mommy feel as if they are playing "I spy" with the "I spy king".  Carson loves to explore in the kitchen cabinets and pantry.  One day I turned around to see him standing on Kobi's food container in the pantry so that he could reach a potato on a higher shelf.  YIKES!  On February 26th, we went to the Georgia Aquarium for the first time.  WOW!  Big fish, whale sharks, belugas turtles, penguins....Carson loved it and so did Mommy & Daddy.  Carson also had his first major fall.  While climbing at the playground, he fell and hit is chin cutting his chin and driving his bottom two teeth into the top of his mouth.  We took him to our dentist where he was checked out and given a "A-OK".  Carson is starting to count ("One-two-three-six-seven-nine") and say his A-B-C's.  He also enjoys talking on the phone while walking around the house.  At the end of the month Mommy and Carson went to Tallahassee to visit family and celebrate Uncle Mike's 26th birthday.  By the time we were home, Carson could remember everybody's name!  He definitely has a memory for names.  Carson's new favorite food is hummus...and he loves to say it too!

Carson: 20 Months Old:  Carson went to the Atlanta Zoo for the first time and loved it.  We were very fortunate to have seen a lot of very active animals.  The pandas, the orangutan, the elephants and the gorillas were all out putting on shows for us.  There were a lot of baby animals too.  Carson's favorite however was the petting zoo with the goats and sheep.  He went right up to them and started saying "hi, sheep.  hi, goat" and much to his surprise, one of the sheep said hello right back but nudging Carson with his head and knocking him down.  Carson has also rediscovered his hats.  He wears them everyday.  He loves to wear "Daddy Hats" or as he says "daddy-ats".  He stacks them one on top of another on top of another.  I think we caught him one day with 5 stacked on top of his head.  He also loves to lay on "Daddy's peedow (pillow)".  We have caught Carson on a number of occasions singing songs.  He'll sing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" filling in the last word of each sentence.  He also sings "Aaapy Do-do" (Happy Birthday to you) many versions of the Elmo song inserting any one's name into the song.  Mommy and Daddy have tried to teach Carson to whisper or tell us secrets.  If you ask him to tell you a secret, he presses his ear against your ear and giggles.  It is just too cute!  Carson also is learning more names of family and friends.  This month he decided to call Grandma and Grandpa Dominguez ...."Poppy and Ya-Ya".

Carson: 21 Months Old:  This month we travelled to Portland/Vancouver, Washington to see Poppy, Ya-Ya, Auntie Meg, Uncle Ted, Emma and Anaya.  Carson had a great time playing with everyone, eating lunch at Peanut Butter and Ellie's and going to the Portland Zoo.  Shortly after we returned home, Mommy and Carson caught a stomach virus and got really sick.  When we were sick, we watched more Sesame Street than we normally do and by the end of the week, Carson knew all of the Sesame Street character's names.  Carson is almost always telling us when he goes poopy or potty.  The timing is still a bit too late, but he's getting it! Carson loves to color, although he also loves to bite his crayons.  YUCK!  We have finger-painting time and play dough time too.
