Below are some of Carson's milestones and the wonderful memories we have had with him. Click on the link to the left to view the photos.
Carson: 22 Months Old: Carson has now become a master of climbing. We have caught him climbing on the glass coffee table, into his high chair, up the stairs and even into the truck all by himself. Carson helps mommy and daddy sing the "A-B-C" song and the "Clean up" song. He also is very specific about the songs he will and will not listen to on the radio/CD player. He has come up with a name for most of his favorite songs...."Hammer song", "Bert-Earnie song", "Joan", Do-do song". We have started working with Carson in the swimming pool. He loves the water. He has started to swim under water. He kicks and paddles his arms. It has become quite evident how strong his hand-to-eye coordination is. Carson can put a spiral on a football, throw a baseball, dunk a basketball and even hit a baseball off a tee with a bat....over and over again. He loves it. His swing is a bit wild, but he can really wack the ball. As of now, he is writing and throwing right-handed and batting/swinging a golf club left-handed. On June 9th, Mommy and Carson headed to Tallahassee again to surprise Aunt Aidan for her "3oth Birthday". We had a blast. Carson got to touch his first froggie and jump on Evan's (his cousin) trampoline. He loves to jump, jump, jump. We also went to the pool in Tallahassee which has a kiddie play pool with slides. Carson has recently started to mimick Mommy's and Daddy's gestures. When he is looking for something, he'll say "where's tigger" while turning his hands over, palms to the ceiling. Or he'll say "where's Carson", "I not know", "I hiding". Funny stuff.
Carson: 23 Months Old: Carson's favorite summer-time activities are tee ball, "baff-hoops" (basketball hoops), swimming and running through the sprinkler. He has just ventured underwater by himself. He is pushing off the stairs and swims with mommy and daddy's help. We are still amazed at how much he loves the water! This month we celebrated Uncle E's 30th birthday. Poppy, Ya-Ya, Auntie Meg, Anaya, Auntie Sonia, Uncle Richard and Evan all came in town. We had a full day at the pool, playing wiffle ball and grilling out. We also went to the Aquarium. We celebrated the Fourth of July with a Parade and a cook-out at Uncle E's too. Mommy, Daddy and Carson also went to the YMCA pool with fountains, and waterslides. Daddy went down the waterslides 3 times....Carson wanted to go, but was too little. Carson is a big help when it comes to folding (or unfolding) laundry and cooking. He loves to help Mommy scramble eggs and help Daddy make pancakes and smoothies. His favorite game is "Hide 'n Seek". His brother Kobi loves to join in the fun too. Mommy and Daddy also went to the Atlanta Zoo again and got to see a baby gorilla only 6 days old!
Carson: 24 Months Old: Carson turned TWO on July 19th. We started his birthday with a candle in an apple for breakfast and the unveiling of his gift from mommy and daddy.....a sand and water play table!
Carson's 2-year-old birthday party was a smash. This year we had a HAT PARTY for him. Carson loves his hats, so everyone came to his party in a hat! We had a yummy brunch and lots of cake. Mommy made four different types of "HAT" cakes. One was even an ice-cream cake. Carson's favorite!
One hot summer afternoon, Carson went to visit the Alpharetta Firehouse. He got to sit in a fire truck and pretend he was a fireman!
Carson really loves playing "hide 'n seek" although he is still mastering the concept of who counts and who hides. His version of "hide 'n seek" is much more like chase. He counts "1...2....3...6...7...8...16....here I come" and then runs around in circles until you catch him.
