Below are some of Carson's milestones and the wonderful memories we have had with him. Click on the link to the left to view the photos.
Carson: January 2007: Mommy and Daddy tell Carson that he is going to be a Big Brother. Carson gets a glimpse of his baby sister/brother on an ultrasound photo!
January 10 - 15th we visited Uncle Bryan, Aunt Janie, Aunt Nancy and Mason in Des Moines, Iowa. BRRRRRR!!!! It was cold. Luckily it snowed which made the cold a bit more fun! Carson and Daddy tried to catch snowflakes on their tongues and even did a little sledding. Carson is now completely potty-trained!! WOW!!
Carson: February 2007: In February we went to see Ringling Brother's Circus again. He loves to watch the animals. This year, he was a bit more apprehensive about the clowns.
This year, Mommy celebrated her 40th Birthday. Daddy and Carson had a few surprises up their sleeves for her. Family and friends came into town and helped to celebrate with us. It was a lot of fun!
Carson: March 2007: The big news in March was the arrival of Carson's Big Boy Bed. Mommy and Daddy worked to get his new room ready and then the final piece....his bunk beds arrived. As soon as the bed was set up, Carson was ready to sleep in it! He was in heaven.
Carson also started a Sports-tykes class this month. He attends one day a week for about an hour...3 classes are teaching the basics of Soccer, 3 classes are teaching the basics of basketball and 3 classes teach the basics of baseball. He loves it! Carson and Daddy play soccer and golf almost every night when Daddy comes home from work too! He is quite the sports-kid.
In March, Carson started going to the YMCA for a Mom's Morning Out class one day a week (9am - 1pm). Although he had a lot of anxiety the first few weeks when Mommy or Daddy would drop him off....he loved his teachers and would always be excited to share what he had done in class that day!
Carson: April 2007: April had two big events....Easter and Uncle Eric's wedding to Kelly. It was really fun hunting for Easter Eggs this year, especially since Carson discovered some of them were filled with candy. His love of candy is becomming quite apparent.
April 21st was Uncle Eric's Wedding. Carson was the ring-bearer. He was so thrilled to wear his tuxedo (ie: fancy clothes and dancing shoes). He also got to spend a lot of time with his cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Poppy/Ya-ya.
Carson: May 2007: The beginning of this month, Mommy took a trip to Florida for a SISTER's weekend on the beach. Believe it or not, it was the first time that Mommy left Carson. This meant that Daddy and Carson had their first ever BOYS WEEKEND!!! They had a blast. Daddy surprised Carson with his first set of golf clubs and headed to the driving range one afternoon with Uncle Eric. Carson was so excited, he just kept hitting balls....one after another. By the time they left, Carson had hit almost 40 golf balls and returned home with blisters on both hands.
In May our pool opened again and it didn't take Carson long to jump in!
Carson: June 2007: One cranky-Carson afternoon, Mommy got an idea to check inside Carson's mouth. Much to her surprise.....she discovered part of his crankiness.....three molars trying to cut (his 2-year old molars!)
This month, Carson took a tour of the hospital wear his baby brother/sister will be born. He is really starting to ask a lot of questions....especially since Mommy's belly is getting bigger and bigger!
Carson started his first swim class without Mommy/Daddy in the pool. The swim instructors were all impressed with his ability and desire to learn. By the time he completed 4 classes, he could scale the wall of the pool, blow bubbles with his face and eyes under water, jump in, kick and scoop and float on his back assisted. He was quickly moved into the next class!
Carson: July 2007: We started out July with our annual 4th of July Parade in Dunwoody. Carson loved seeing all the floats, and fire trucks. He also really got into picking up as much candy as he could this year....it was almost a competition.
