Below are some of Carson's milestones and the wonderful memories we have had with him.  Click on the link to the left to view the photos.

Carson: 6 Months Old:  Carson now weighs 13 lbs. 11 oz. and is 25 1/2" long.  This month had a few milestones.  On January 25th, Carson decided that he wanted to explore the world sitting up all by himself.   He loves to sit and play.  He also has discovered that he can feed himself.  Cheerios seem to be his favorite.  Sometimes he will even scream if he doesn't have them on his tray to practice his "hand to mouth" exercises.  Although Carson is not yet crawling, he is pretty good at the "belly scoot and spin".  He usually moves in circles and picks up whatever toy is within his reach.  Carson has also discovered a new way to communicate. He looks right at you, clicks his tongue, smiles and waits for you to "click" back.

Carson: 7 Months Old:   Mommy and daddy have been practicing sign language with Carson since birth.  It has recently become very obvious how well he understands the sign for "milk". He is also very close to signing "milk" without any misunderstanding.  Truly amazing!  This month, Carson started "swim class" at the YMCA.  He and daddy have really enjoyed their time in the pool, playing and learning.  Carson also experienced his first swing ride.  Something he will be a fan of for a long, long time.  Weeeeee!  Giggle.  Giggle.  Although Carson still has NO TEETH....eating is still one of his favorite activities.  He eats everything and shovels it in fist by fist.

Carson: 8 Months Old:  This month was loaded with fun.  Carson celebrated his first Easter.  He was excited to find Easter Eggs and Mommy and Daddy got to eat all the sweets.  On March 30th, Carson grabbed a hold of Mommy's hands and very confidently pulled himself up to standing.  He is so proud when he stands.  His three most favorite ways to travel are the "Boot Scoot" - he sits and flaps his arms up and down really fast until his booty scoots across the carpet, the "Crab Crawl" -  crawls on his back, and the "Rolly Polly" - he just rolls himself over and over until he gets where he wants to go.  Carson also waves "bye-bye" and "hi" with either a flap of his arm or an opening and closing of his hand.  Very sweet.

Carson: 9 Months Old:   Carson is now a whopping 16 lbs. 3 oz. and 26 1/2 " long!  He is still a great eater, even though he still has no teeth.  He can clap...."YEAH", dance to music, and say "uh-oh (his pronunciation is "uh-eeh") anytime something hits the floor.  This month he successfully accomplished sitting up on his own and CRAWLING! He has quickly become a speed-crawler and moves from one corner of the house to the next. Mommy and daddy are frantically baby-proofing the house and trying to install gates.  His personality is really starting to show, as well.  He is quite the silly boy...giggling and making us laugh too!  One afternoon, he was doubled over with laughter while watching his daddy practice his golf swing.  On the other side of the coin, however, Carson is starting to show a little bit of a temper by throwing his head back and pounding his feet on the ground.  This usually follows quickly after mommy says "no".  Hmmmm.....more to come, I'm sure.
