This is a file I use to print on negative sleeves. It enables me to record the information used to shoot and develop a negative. I use negative sleeves from 'Light Impressions' and the files are sized to fit those sleeves. Just use your word process to change the paper size to fit the sleeves you use.
I've made if available in MS Word format, RTF format and as a PDF file, the image is a GIF.
Here is how I use it.
| Title is my working title for the image, most often it is just a short description. | |
| Date is the date I made the exposure, not the date I developed it. | |
| Location is just a description of where I made the exposure. | |
| ID Number is for the database I use. It assigns a unique ID number to each entry and I put that ID number here. | |
| Film is the type of film used. | |
| Exposure is the exposure data, shutter speed and f-stop. | |
| Lens is the lens used for the exposure. | |
| Filter(s) lists any filters used for the exposure | |
| Develop is the developer I used to develop the image. | |
| Development is the 'N' of the development for this image. It corresponds to the Zone System N numbers such as N-1, N, N+1. | |
| Process is the physical method I used to develop the image, such as Combi-Plan, Jobo, Unidrum, tray etc. | |
| Other notes can contain any other info that may be pertinent. Most often my 'Other Notes' section contains something like- 'forgot to close the shutter before removing dark slide' or 'oops'. But you can use it for more informative stuff. |
