AGREEMENT OF SERVICES

 

 

Initial Meeting                      with client will determine retainer required to begin the project.

Initial Consultation     $___________

You must make a minimum purchase of $____________ before the retainer will be applied to your purchases.

 

 

Purchases                            Are invoiced at net cost 35% paid directly to MJM Design Group.  No hourly fee applies.  Purchases include furniture, wallcoverings, light fixtures, accessories, fabrics for upholstery and window treatments.  A 50% deposit on each purchase will be required at the time of placing the order.  The balance of the purchase will be due upon the date of shipment from the factory to the local delivery company.  Payment for fabric, wallcoverings, plumbing fixtures and window treatment fabrics are due in full at the time of placing the order.

 

 

Crating/Shipping                Setup and ALL delivery charges will be paid by the client.

 

 

 

Sales Tax                              Client will be required to pay Illinois State Sales Tax on all purchased items.

 

 

Consultations                     not relating to the direct purchase of items listed above will be invoiced at any hourly rate.  This fee will cover shopping time for items not purchased through MJM Design Group, as well as time spent with architects and builders.  Specifications of exterior colors, trims, finishes, floor coverings, kitchen and bath fixtures that are supplied outside of MJM Design Group will be billed at $_______ per hour. 


 

 

Inspection                            of all purchases (i.e. wallcoverings, furniture and artwork) is the responsibility of the client at the time of delivery.  Once you sign for and accept the delivery, the manufacturer and carrier have no further responsibility for damages of imperfections.  BY SIGNING FOR THE TIEMS, YOU AGREE THAT THE ITEMS WERE DELIVERED IN THE CONDITION THAT WAS EXPECTED, AND YOU ARE SATISFIED.

 

A damaged wallcovering must be returned within thirty (30) days of delivery.  The manufacturer will assume no obligation   for damaged goods after that time.  MJM Design Group will not assume any responsibility for damaged or imperfect items, unless you make a timely inspection.

 

 

Tradesmen/Labor              Any and all tradesmen/labor services performed that MJM Design Group oversees will require a 10% fee of those services.  All rollage and labor estimates apply only to the proposal being given at that time, and only in conjunction with the tradesmen that specifically are involved with the particular project at hand.  MJM Design Group will assume no liability for rollage estimates quoted by the tradesmen used by MJM Design Group, if the project does not go through those specific tradesmen.

 

 

Cancellation Policy            YOU, THE CONSUMER, MAY CANCEL THIS TRANSACTION AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT OF THE THIRD BUSINESS DAY AFTER THE DATE OF THIS TRANSACTION. (See the attached notice of cancellation form for an explanation of this right)
