PA20 - Little Red Riding Hood's Hood

The puzzle is entirely red! Even though the box lid states 506 pieces, the piece count will vary depending on the cut.

Jigsaw Trivia - The big white puzzle piece on the box lid is similar to the DC506, DC510A, DC510C, and DC512 die cut thumbnails. It's closest to DC510A.

Original Version: The big white puzzle piece is glued to the box lid separately.
Version #2: The big white puzzle piece is part of the box lid lithograph.

* Although there is no serial number printed on its box, this puzzle is identified as PA20 in an early Springbok Editions puzzle list.

The puzzle is entirely blue! It was made for Serendipity 3, the famous New York City toy store and ice cream parlor. It is really a Promotional Puzzle, but is included on this page because it carries a PA-Series serial number.

Jigsaw Trivia - This is the only puzzle in the PA-Series to have its serial number printed on the puzzle box.

The photo is of the completed puzzle (not the box). The box is identical in every respect to Snow White without the Seven Dwarfs (above).

* Puzzle from the collection of Lynn Vorys

* Controversy exists regarding the authenticity of this puzzle. Some folks think the drawings were made by a previous owner, while others think they are a Springbok Editions lithograph. Regardless, it is an interesting item, and makes for lively debate. A second copy of the puzzle has yet to be discovered.
