Jaki Soper lives in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts with her husband Michael and two daughters Julie and Michelle. She has taught many different quilting techniques at quilt and sewing establishments in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. Locally, Jaki has taught at Rhoudenbush Community Center in Westford MA, Quiltopia in Hollis NH, New England Quilt Emporium in Merrimack NH, and Mill Girls in Chelmsford MA. Today, she holds classes and mini-retreats in her studio in Tyngsborough, MA.

As an artist, Jaki has made over 70 quilts for king, queen, full and twin beds, including hundreds of other items such as bags, table runners, Christmas tree skirts, and other hand crafted creations. Several of these works of art have been selected for display at the Lowell quilt festival.

Jaki began sewing clothes for herself at the age of 12 with her mother's guidance. After she graduated from college with a BS in mathematics and education she decided to start quilting with her mother. Jaki remembered seeing many of her grandmother's quilts around the house. They were used for a variety of purposes, but always until they were fully worn with love. It was time to rekindle the craft in the family and replenish the stock, especially after years of practice at the sewing machine.

Besides being a mother of two and a quilter for over 20 years, Jaki is also former membership chairperson for the NHSQA  (New Hampshire State Quilters Association) and a current member of both the Hannah Dustin Quilt Guild and the Squanicook Colonial Quilt Guild.
