Performance Standards - Snow Plowing
Class One Main Roads and Driveway Spurs:
- On a round-the-clock basis, when the height of fallen snow exceeds four inches and before it exceeds six inches, A swath at least twenty feet wide for the entire length of the following roadways shall be plowed to a height of two inches or less:
Buck Run, Copperhead Lane, Rosebud Court, Spring Court
Class Two Main Roads and Driveway Spurs:
- When the height of fallen snow exceeds six inches and before it exceeds eight inches, a swath at least twenty-feet wide for the entire length of following roadways shall be plowed to a height of four inches or less:
Appleridge Road, Highnob Court
General Requirements
- In those places where the physical width of the roadway and its berms dictate, the minimum width requirements are decreased accordingly.
- Skid plates are required to prevent scalping the gravel surfaces of the roadways.
- When the plowed surfaces become too slippery for safe travel, friction improving materials shall be spread, reimbursement determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Applefields-supplied sand barrels will be kept at least two-thirds full, reimbursement determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Areas subject to drifting shall be reopened every six hours.
