I
started my teaching career while I was getting my
bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Northern Arizona
University. While there, I helped the Department of
Chemistry develop a new Organic Chemistry lab, which I
also taught. After graduating, I started teaching high
school at Independence High School in Glendale, Arizona.
After two years of teaching in Arizona, I decided to
move to the Bay Area. I have been at Oakland High School
for five years and
this will be my 9th year at OHS and my 11th year teaching total.
I have also recently completed my Masters of Science in
Education degree with an emphasis in Integration of
Technology in the Curriculum from Walden University. I look forward to working with both my students and parents this year and I know that it will be a great year.
