Tonight we did a snowshoe trip on the CMC trail at Brainard Lake. The temperature when we started was only 6°F and felt much colder in the infamous Brainard wind.

With the cold and snow, we decided to keep the hike relatively short. We only covered about 1.8 miles each way.

Carol volunteered to take the group photo as I had forgotten to bring my little tripod. She did a really good job framing the group considering that she couldn't see a thing through the viewfinder.

After the hike, most of us returned to Carol's place for cold beer, hot lentil soup and snacks.
