Full Moon Hike to Lost Lake

Saturday, March 26th 2005

The night before Easter and we have the smallest group of hikers since I began hiking with Eric & Co. On our last hike we had so many people sign up that Eric had to turn down half a dozen people.

This map shows the GPS track log of the hike. We started on the right and reached Lost Lake at the left. The map doesn't show the lake.

This was a pretty long hike for a winter snow shoe hike. We gained 1,000 feet in a little over 2.5 miles. The entire trip took three hours.

We're on the way.

Full moon over Lost Lake. The snow was just starting and produced a soft haze around the moon.
