What is Modular Technology about?

Modular Technology is a course that allows students to study technological concepts in a student-centered, project-based, laboratory environment.  Emphasis is placed on the fact that technology is not simply computers and electronics, but rather the process and practice of making tasks easier and more productive.

During this twenty (20) week course, students study three module groups, which relate to various areas of technology.  Using multimedia computer software, laboratory activity experiences, and small group instruction, students learn the basic principles of each technology studied.  As the semester progresses, each student gains experience in the process that all technologies are subject to - idea, planning, design, production, testing, and feedback.
