This was really Brian's idea.

And so it is for him.

He had this brief "What if...?" one day, and that "What if...?" was
"What if we document all the days these baby hummingbirds
are with us?"

And I said, "Hmmmmmm...."

My original intention was to make a book of these photos for Brian's
birthday, but he said, "If you're planning something special with
these pictures, would you put them on the web?"    So, here
they are.

What follows is a series of photographs taken between
26 June 2001 and 20 July 2001.  25 days over the summer
of 2001, a stretch of days I will remember forever.

You see, it is not only the fact that the miracle of
life unfolds on these pages...,

...it is the miracle of having shared a miracle with
someone you love.  I can't think of a more rewarding way
to spend 25 days.
