A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the Royals own JOE DIXON 

Selected by University of Illinois Coach Mike Frogley to join the

22nd annual “invitation only” Elite Training camp at the University

of Illinois June 24-28. “This camp will showcase the top 24 junior

athletes in the world. 75% of the athletes attending this camphave

gone on to represent their countries at international competitions.” 

 

 

JON SCHMITZ has been appointed Captain of the 2008-2009

Minnesota Royals. Co-Captain will be chosen by the players in the fall.

We're looking forward to your leadership, Jon, as you represent the

players both on and off the court

attended basketball camp June 14-19 at the University of Wisconsin

Whitewater. They worked hard and represented their team proudly!

WELCOME BACK 2008 graduate Tom Wagner who will continue

with the Royals as assistant coach for the 2008-2009 season,

replacing Tommy Cosgrove (Royals class of 2007) who will be

attending Oklahoma State University (Go, Cowboys!)

dedicated to providing year-round sports training, competition,

and recreation in a variety of wheelchair sports for individuals

with physical disabilities. Giving them continuing opportunities

to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy

and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with

their families, other wheelchair athletes and the community.
