Welcome to my gallery of ambigrams. word designs which, when turned upside down, can be read the same way (rotational) or as a completely different word (symbiotograms). They are a challenging combination of art, typography and puzzle-solving, and have been a passion of mine since 2008, when I picked up Dan Brown's book, Angels & Demons, and was captivated by the ambigrams illustrated throughout by the talented John Langdon. John's work inspired me to try my hand at it and I was hooked in no time.
My earliest sketches were worked out with marker on old phone books and then scanned and traced in Adobe Illustrator. After a while I decided to work directly on the computer and this was the first site where I posted my early black and white designs. Once I started working in color I tried organizing them in the menu above's PHOTOS section, but quickly outgrew it, and by the end of 2010 I decided to move my work to these other sites:
