MAGICAL WALTZ
- by Amy Skelton Otey © 2004
Just before bed, before sleep takes my head,
I dance through the rooms in my house.
On tippy-toe, I move to and fro,
Quiet as a little mouse.
It's a magical waltz, a magical waltz,
Dancing around in my room.
Magical waltz, it's a magical waltz,
Swaying along with the moon.
And the rain fell soft on the windowsill.
The time flew by, yet it all stood still.
Farewell to another day gone by.
I've combed and I've washed, I've bathed and I've
brushed.
I've put on my jammies so cozy.
I've put away toys, I've quit all the noise.
I've done everything that I was supposed to.
It's a magical waltz, a magical waltz,
Dancing around in my room.
Magical waltz, it's a magical waltz,
Swaying along with the moon.
