This particular Sweet Scents doll is Grape. Sweet scents were introduced around the time of the Strawberry Shortcake reissues, about 1991). They have food themes, and are scented.
Since I can't find any Sweet Scents doll links, I'll tell you what I know.
There were at least six Sweet Scents dolls:
Candy Cane, has white hair and wears a white & pink outfit.
Chocolate, has brown hair and wears a brown & pink outfit.
Grape (pictured above), has purple hair and wears a purple & white outfit.
Strawberry, has red hair and wears a red & white outfit.
Watermelon, has pink hair and wears a pink & green outfit.
