Return to this week's news |

Unfortunately, we didn't get very many pictures of the Luau, but here's Emily in her flower lei. |
And Madeline in hers. |

What happened this week...? The snow has continued to fall, in fact, the night of the luau at church was one of the worst for snow and slick conditions. It wasn't too fun to drive in, especially considering the fact that I got to drive a handicapped accessible van for a quadrapelegic man in our ward. That was a little scary, but went OK. Joanne and the rest of the activities committee did an excellent job on the Luau itself. We have one Samoan and one Hawaian elder currently serving in our ward, so they helped us out by teaching us some native dances. The kids had a lot of fun with it. Attendance was a little lighter that it might have otherwise been because of the weather, but you can't control everything. Those who did make it had a good time. Best wishes to all, Matt, Joanne, Jessica, Emily & Madeline |
