I am a mother/father. What will my child get out of Tang Soo Do?

Physical fitness for children is becoming a major issue in our country. Children are many times, more interested in playing on their computer or watching T.V. than going outside and playing, riding their bike, etc. However, if given a little push, children love physical activity once they engage in it. Tang Soo Do is an outstanding physical outlet for children, teaching them balance, improving cardiovascular and muscular health, and much more. Also, one thing taught in our school that seems to get lost in the busy life of children growing up, is courtesy. Courtesy and respect are taught as a part of our curriculum, so that these individuals grow up to be a part of a civilized and ever improving society. In addition, this is done in a non-competitive atmosphere which fosters individual development.

I am a teenage girl/boy. What will I get out of Tang Soo Do?

Peer pressure is a fact of life with teenagers. Training in Tang Soo Do develops confidence within the individual, and gives a sense of individuality and accountability. The maturation process begins during the teenage years, and Tang Soo Do can aid in producing a competent adult, not to mention the mental, physical and intellectual benefits brought about by consistent study. Once again, all study is done in a non-competitive manner, focusing on the art's concepts.

I am a woman/man. What will I get out of Tang Soo Do?

Physical fitness, mental sharpness and spiritual health are very important. Those who train in martial arts are spiritually centered, and are able to harmonize with the world around them. Also, Tang Soo Do is a tool to develop mental faculties and promote a sense of well-being. Practicing Tang Soo Do the Art, you will be armed with these three important factors: 1) able to defend yourself and family 2) have a greater sense of “self” and 3) be assured you have the confidence to make important life decisions.

I am a woman/man in my later years (50+ years). What will I get out of Tang Soo Do?

As we become older, it becomes more important to be active. This consists of mental and physical activity. Tang Soo Do is an excellent stimulus for the student’s body and mind. Also, flexibility is an important ingredient in the health of all adults, especially this group. Tang Soo Do accomplishes this goal.

The bottom line is Tang Soo Do is an excellent activity and study for everyone! Come check it out!
