This is the second bust in Jayco's
"Bride of Frankenstein" series... Colin Clive as Dr.
Henry Frankenstein, the slightly deranged scientist behind the monster from the original film, and also as a hesitant partner in
the scheme of Dr. Pretorius to create a mate for Henry's original
creation... in the sequel "The Bride of Frankenstein"
As with the first bust "Pretorius" sculptor Mark Vantine has really captured the look and essence of the character... The subtle details he worked into the skin make the expression come across as if it were Colin Clive himself sitting here... Simply beautiful work and the best likeness of the character I've yet to see... The Casting by John Diaz was the same as it was with Pretorius... Very clean with minimal seam lines and a couple of pinholes, making it very quick and easy to prep the piece for painting. As with Pretorius, I thoroughly enjoyed myself while working on this one... It gave me the chance to try out some different approaches for painting flesh tones and practicing my pastel work... |
