Molecular Biology and Irreducible Complexity  -  Notes

The majority of the time during this section is used to watch the video interview with Michael Behe, the video lecture by M. Behe, and listen to a lecture by M. Behe on cassette  See  videos   and   cassettes .  These are excellent, they speak for themselves.  I use them all.

A main point of this section is to recognize that naturalists speak of recent discoveries of molecular biology only in terms of sequence comparisons.  They avoid any discussion of mechanism.  However, the data from sequencing is presented selectively.  There are important aspects of that data that are strongly inconsistent with Darwinism.  This will be addressed in the section on Circumstantial/Inferential Evidences.

A recent review on the bacterial flagellum appeared in Physics Today, January 2000, pg 24.  The image labeled Molecular Biology -1 comes from this article.

The image labelled Molecular Biology - 2 comes from Alan Horwitz's article "Integrins and Health", Scientific American, May 1997 pg 69.

Links to the article by H. Orr and the response by M Behe can be found on the arn website (www.arn.org) under the subheading "Michael J. Behe responses to Critics"
