This is my first custom playset, inspired by one auctioned off on eBay for like $250! I used a busted Dream Castle that was fading and missing bits. I salvaged the stickers because it had all of them intact and sold them to a collector. Most of the hinges are broken on this one. It took me a good few months of working on and off to get it this finished, but I see this custom as a work in progress, every Christmas when all the goodies are on sale at craft stores I can add to it! I hope to add the rest of the accessories, the throne, hoops and table (please email me if you the throne for trade/sale!).
I spray painted it white, sprayed the turrets green and painted the floors red. I first painted the bricks alternately red and green but that looked tacky so I changed them to gold. I painted the door gold as well. Finishing touches were stockings, christmas bulbs, a christmas tree with gifts, wreathes, green glitter bows, and christmas beaded garland. The flags in the turrets are painted with gold glitter glue. I do have a mirror and chest that I painted gold.
What is a castle without a dragon? I traded for a Spike with some discoloration and a chewed spike and repainted him red with a gold tummy and green glitter spikes. Not sure what to name him...any ideas? I forgot who it was that said Tinsel, that is his new name! If it was you please email me so I can give you credit!!
The snow scene is mostly Twinkle Fluff and some train garden trees. I have a lake and some twinkle lights as well. Green velvet creates a little courtyard inside the castle.
I hope to add more to it. I also want to redo my website and design it around this castle.
