So, now that you've witnessed the re-launch with all it's splendor, or are witnessing the site altogether for the first time, I guess the big question most are going to ask is, well... just who in the hell is mmackey27 or what in the hell has he been up to lately? Well, I'm so glad you asked yourself that, because I am going to tell you.

On August 5th, 1975; Marcus Dale Mackey was born onto this world in a hospital in a little town called "Oak Park, Illinois" to his parents, Willard Dale and Patricia Ellen. Well, I wouldn't say that it's really a little town, but... it's nothing like it's big brother nearest it (Chicago) to the East. I could venture forth with some extreme splendor and dictate how this veritable date changed the world. That'd be a bit, egotistical, and while I've been accused of it before, I often like to retort the rebuttal that "Why, yes I am egotistical, because I have an ego to go with my id and super ego." Then again, according to Siegmund Freud, so do we all. ;-)

Nevertheless, I was born on that day, and through the countless ventures of my ways, and the tutelage of my parents, I became to take in all the mannerisms and learned reactions and responses through our various schools to become what I am. That being...

I'm a computer junky, an auto racing fan, an aficianado of the arts. I'm a hopeless romantic, but am not one to fail to warm to the latest trends, even as I transcend much of the crap "pop-culture" that stems from being "trendy". My favorite sport is auto racing, but my favorite sports teams are the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Chicago Bears.

I despise people who lie, people who kiss ass to get a better meal ticket. I'm a non-smoker but believe that people deserve the right to do whatever they want to do to their bodies, so long as it doesn't affect me anymore or less than what big corporations blow into the air via their inefficient production plants. I'm pro-choice, not because it's necessarily the most humane option, but because it is the most logical option to control the population from mimicking hamsters and rabbits in reproduction.

I am one part journalist, one part artist, one part designer, one part political activist, and one part... well... you name it and it's probably there. :-) I'm shy in person but I always have a ton to say when at the helm of my trusty keyboard(s). If I had my option, the job I'd most want to have is to run a race track for dirt oval stock car racing. My current goal is just to get a teaching certificate and get-on with getting-on.
