Query Editor
Queries define how books are found in library servers and displayed
on maps.
Query List
Lists all the defined queries. Click on one to edit it. Click on
New Query to add another one.
- Run
Click on Run to execute the query and display the results.
- Results
Click on Results to display the previously saved results of a query.
- XML
Click on XML to send the XML version of the results to the browser. Depending on
the browser, this may format them correctly.
- Re-geocode
Attempt to further resolve any places in the saved results that were not completely
determined. Do this after adding new rules.
Edit Query
Shows the definition of a query. Edit it and click Save.
- Name
The name of the query. This should be a legal file name, since that is how
queries and results are stored.
- Description
A description of what is being found. This will be the default title for the results.
- Aggregation Mode
How the map marker displays the books for that place.
- oldest
The number displayed is the date of the earliest book in this place.
Any link offered is to this earliest book.
- newest
The number displayed is the date of the latest book in this place.
Any link offered is to this latest book.
- count
The number displayed is the number of books in this place.
Links are offered to all the books until the number gets too large.
If a coarser level of detail than City is displayed, the marker will
be at the weighted center of the City markers based on their counts.
- Server
The server against which the query is run.
- Definition
The search field and search value to match.
- Advanced mode
The query definition in raw prefix form.
Show results
When results are displayed from the Query Editor, they include a
table of unresolved places. From here you can access the Place Editor
on the best guess place and the original source record (OPAC or LT)
for the book.
