Although Chelsea's historic houses date mainly from the Victorian period, when Chelsea was in its heyday, the city also has a number of handsome Arts and Crafts homes. Several houses from this period line the Clark Avenue and Crest Avenue area. Like many historic houses, this one on Clark Street has suffered the scourge of aluminum siding, but it still preserves much of its original charm.
