This remarkable house was built about 1890 by C. Henry Kimball, who made a fortune in 1885 by inventing a heated rail car to keep potatoes fresh during transportation. According to Chelsea old-timers, the house was once used as a funeral home and now is converted to condos. The interior detail is said to be as wonderful as the exterior.
