FORMER METRO POLICE MARINE UNIT @ NEW CHARLES RIVER DAM:
The old Metro Marine Unit offices and boat docks as they appear in 2008. This builing is incorporated within the New Charles River Dam system completed by the US Army Corp of Engineers in 1978. It also provided a centralized place for the Underwater Recovery Unit and Marine Unit, which had historically been spread out with boats at the outlying district stations. NAHANT BEACH SUBSTATION @ NAHANT CAUSEWAY:
The J. Joseph Ward Memorial Building (AKA Ward Bath House) was dedicated in 1968 in memory of former Metropolitan Police Deputy Supt. Joseph Ward. NAHANT BEACH SUBSTATION - 1ST GENERATION @ LYNN/NAHANT BEACHES:

M.D.C. Police Nahant Beach Substation at the Nahant Beach Bath House in the 1960's. This building was never kept up and would eventually be razed and replaced with a much less ornamental 60's style bath house with yellow brick and a flat roof. Now its replacement, the Ward Bath House is falling apart and the State Dept. of Cons. and Rec. (DCR) plans to knock it down and replace it eventually. (Photo source: Internet.)
