MINNESOTA NO MERCY HANDICAPPING CONTEST

This contest is a head to head handicapping contest where players must pick 3 selections for a specified race. A reserve pick is also selected and is used as a tie breaker in the event both players have an equal score with their 3 selections.
To enter this contest residents must post in the No Mercy contest entry thread which is posted on the week of the current contest final match.
Players are randomly matched against each other and assigned a race to handicap from Saturday races at the Minnesota track.
Players then email their 3 selections plus reserve pick to the resident manager who will post the selections on the board once both players have sent them in.
After the race the player's selections are assigned a score based on the following placings.
1ST PLACE=10 POINTS
2ND PLACE=7 POINTS
3RD PLACE=5 POINTS
4TH PLACE=3 POINTS
5TH PLACE=1 POINT

The Player who has the highest score wins the match and moves on to the next round in the following week, the other player is eliminated from the contest. If a tie occurs than whoever's reserve pick finishes ahead of the other will decide the match winner. Note if it is still a tie after the reserve pick is used then the match will be replayed in the following week.

The remaining players keep playing every week until we are down to the final pair of players who will play for the no mercy final.
Note---at the end of any round if there are an odd number of players left then the player who had the largest losing score would also advance to the next round.
The winner of the final round will receive the credit prize of
400 credits.
