Other F-Bodies I have owned

My first car a 1983 Trans Am, loaded with optional equipment had Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Antenna, Power Driver Seat, Electric Trunk Release, Rear Window Defroster, Rear Window Wiper,PMD seats, Locking Cargo Cover, Security Shade Full Gauge package, Tilt Column, Trip Odemeter, Delay Wipers, Cruise Control, Air Conditioning, Locking gas Filler Door, 305 Engine with Cross-Fire Fuel Injection with a factory Cold Air Induction kit and of course T-Tops. The car was Black with a Black Interior. The car also came with American Racing wheels, which I never liked and did eventually get a set of stock wheels which never made it on the car before it got totalled.

A 1987 Firebird a friend and I had bought with the front end smashed in. We originally bought it for a parts car, but the engine ran well and the car drove well so we decided to get a pair of fenders off an 88 Formula parts car we had. The hood is off my 83 T/A as are the wheels. I spray painted the front clip, then drove the car for a while back and fourth to work every day to save having to take my Formula. Eventually the car was stripped for parts. It had a 2.8 V6 Engine and an Automatic Transmission.

My 84 Firebird, I originally bought this car for parts for $100.00. Then I sold the aftermarket Alpine CD player out of it for $100.00. The car ran and drove great, the previous owner told me it would overheat, and that he had put in a new radiator, water pump, thermostat and housing and heater core. So before I really looked at it I assumed it had a bad head gasket. Well after checking it out one day, I noticed the fan clutch was bad, $10.00 later I had my new daily driver. The car was a Carburated 2.8 V6 with a 5 Speed manual Transmission and T-Tops. That's all it reallly had for options, no A/C, no power options at all ( windows, locks, seats, mirrors, etc..) no rear defroster, no gauges or trip odemeter. Just a 85 MPH Speedometer and a big gas gauge, no tilt, no cruise, no delay wipers. It also had no rear spoiler, but I added one that I had off another 84 parts car that was even the same color. This is also the first time I had seen the map pocket delete, there was just a piece of metal covered in vinal in the spot where I expected the map pocket would be. I enjoyed this car for it's simplicity and great gas milage, and was sad when I finally blew up the motor. See I had put around 50-60,000 miles on it in about 8 months time, and they were not the most well cared for miles, I was very hard on the car, because I had nothing into it. So then it also got stripped for parts. Several of the parts found their way onto my Formula. I kept the T-Tops for spares in case anything happens to the ones on the Formula. I pounded out a few dents, sanded some rust and painted it the grey primer in the 2nd pic, a whole $16.00 paint job.

My 1993 Camaro, another car I wish I had not gotten rid of, but I lived in an apartment, and had the Formula and 84 also and had no where to keep 3 cars. When I bought this car it had come from California to a local chevy dealership, the previous owner traded it in on a truck, go figure it was January. The car was in immaculate condition, The previous owner had made several modifications to it as well. My Camaro had a Moroso Cold Air Induction kit, KYB adjustable shocks on all 4 corners, Eibach lowering springs, a hurst shifter and a 40 series Flowmaster muffler with 2 three inch chrome tips. And there was also the racing stripes, which I liked but attracted too much attention ( as in police attention ) to my missing front license plate, after being pulled over and warned 3 times in one weekend I just put the front plate on. This is also the car I got the 17x9.5 Elite wheels that are now on my Formula. I had a set of 95 Firebird wheels on it when I sold it. The interior was basically all stock, this car also was a very minimally optioned car as well, no A/C, no rear defrost, no power options etc...., just a 3.4 Liter V6 and a 5 Speed manual Transmission. There was also a removebale face Alpine stereo, Kenwood Amplifier and Infinity speakers, the car had 2 inch tweeters in the door where the power option switches would have gone, and the stereo sound great in this car. I drove the car for about a year and got usually around 30-34 MPG with it, and it was pretty fast for a V6, it even won a few races against more than a few 86-93 5.0 Liter Mustang LX's and GT's. Below is a picture of what my Camaro looked like the night before I sold it, with the 95 Firebird "swirl" wheels.
