Steve Subak
A Handball Legend
It is with great sadness we note the passing of Minnesota Handball Hall of Fame member Steve Subak.

Steve was a 1929 graduate of Edison High School before employment by Crown Iron Works, then First National Bank, followed by service as an Officer in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then became the first Treasurer of National School Studios (now Lifetouch Inc – the outfit that takes those glossy school pictures) for whom he worked as a customer relations executive until his retirement. Steve has always been a gentleman and an athlete, honored by membership in the Edison High Athletic Hall of Fame, the Minnesota State Handball Association. Hall of Fame, and the United States Handball Association Hall of Fame. He was a member and National Handball Chairman for the YMCA, member of the Minneapolis Athletic Club and the Minikahda Country Club. After a very successful competitive handball career Steve, in his 80Õs became somewhat of a local star in ballroom dance winning over 200 competitions.
