Minneapolis AC Wins 1st Half
The Minneapolis Athletic Club qualified for the 1996-97 Twin Cities Tuesday Night Handball League playoffs by claiming first place in the first half of the season. The MAC's 157 points put them solidly in first place with a commanding lead for the top overall seed. The Skyway YMCA (a combination of last year's team and the Kings Court) took second. Northwest Clubs and the Decathlon AC took 3rd and 4th edging out the Trouble Boys by one point.
The Monday night league is playing three round-robin sessions. Play is in the midst of the second session with the Skyway River Rats and the Decathlon AC vying for the top spots.
